Tonight is the annual Reigning Cats & Dogs Gala to benefit the Sacramento SPCA. Befitting the occasion, it is raining cats and dogs outside. I don't relish dog-paddling to the event, but I'll do it for the sake of homeless pets. I've donated a Mystery Basset basket with an autographed copy of my book, "Howling Bloody Murder" and also a pastel painting I did of a "Yankee Doodle Doxie." I hope they get some bids for the fundraiser.
